Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM (EST) on Friday, June 3, 2022 in Lakeview Memory Gardens with Rev. Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.

Ms. Edna was born July 26, 1936 in Malone, FL, daughter of the late Hayes L. Everett and Ressie Mae Calloway Everett. She was a faith filled woman who was baptized at an early age. Ms. Edna loved the Lord with all of her heart. She truly loved gospel music. She and her husband Charles would sing at numerous churches and funerals. Ms. Edna was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband whether it was on their farm, in their grocery store or trucking business. She was also a well-known and respected breeder of English Bulldogs for over 40 years. Ms. Edna grew up on the farm and never lost her love of animals, especially horses. She was an excellent seamstress and crocheter who often created beautiful items for family and friends. In her younger years she enjoyed baking wedding cakes. One of her greatest joys in the past many years was to log onto her Facebook and bless the hearts of her friends with her beautiful pictures that she created on her computer and share her daily Bible scriptures and uplifting messages. She has left a legacy of hard work, determination, and commitment to family. We will miss her deeply, but her memories will forever be in our hearts.

Mrs. Long was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 46 years, Charles Wayne Long, two siblings, Kenneth “Bud” Everett and Helen Henderson (Terry), and granddaughter, Eden Long.
