Edward Arnold Lowe

Edward Arnold Lowe, 81, of Phenix City, AL passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital in Phenix City, AL.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm EST Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.  Interment with Military Honors will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery and the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.

Mr. Lowe was born February 22, 1935 in Savannah, GA to the late Leon Lowe and Louise Edwards Lowe.  He was retired from the U S Postal Service in Columbus, GA with 35 plus years of service.  He served our country and was Veteran of the United States Army and a Baptist by faith.  He loved history and was known as a history buff.  He enjoyed football, baseball, and all sorts of outdoor activities.  Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Miriam Fisher.

He is survived loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Beverly Perry Lowe, daughters, Jean Lowe, Pam Lowe, Lisa Lowe Smith and husband Jeff, and Melanie Susan Garza, one sister, Gwen Haines, and several grandchildren, Dakota Smith, Jami Morris (Matthew), Taylor Walden, and Avery Garza, numerous other loving family members and many caring friends.
