Edward “Ed” Eugene Jamieson, Jr., 93, of Salem, AL died peacefully at his home on Friday, September 16, 2022.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM (EST) on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Union Grove United Methodist Church, Smiths Station, AL directed by Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends and family Monday evening from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM (EST) at the funeral home.
Mr. Jamieson was born April 20, 1929 in Richland, GA son of the late Edward Eugene Jamieson, Sr. and Lizzie Riles Jamieson. He was well known for his love of walking, rocking on his front porch and listening to Braves baseball and George Jones music. He was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church for many years. Mr. Ed loved God and his family above everything else. The special times we spent with him will always be cherished in our hearts.
Mr. Jamieson was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Mary Ruth Hearn Jamieson; five brothers and two sisters; two children, Patricia Lynn Jamieson Meister and Edward “Ed” Eugene Jamieson, III; two grandchildren, Jacob Eugene Jamieson and Rebecca Jamieson.
Survivors include his three daughters, Judy Johnson (Craig), Jean McCauley and Helen Franklyn; nine grandchildren, to include “his little girl” Rhiannon Harrell (Dusty); fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
