Mr. Edward R. Singleton, 87, of Phenix City, AL, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Canterbury Health Care Facility in Phenix City, AL. 

A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm EST, Friday, February 21, 2025 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL.

Mr. Singleton was born May 5, 1937 in Pike County, AL, son of the late John Thomas Colon Singleton and Pauline Langston Singleton. He retired from Swift Mill with over 40 years of service, having served in multiple positions through the years. Mr. Singleton enjoyed camping, fishing, country music and buying and selling at the local flea markets. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. 

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nell Austin Singleton; two sisters, Geneva S. Owens and Elizabeth Taylor; brothers, Roy Singleton and Lonnie Singleton; and a son-in-law, William Clarke Bradley, III.

He is survived by his children, Raymond L. Singelton and wife Cindy, Barbara Marie Singleton Bradley, Linda Gail Shellnut and husband Michael Todd, Brenda M. Phillips and husband John and Penny D. Holley and husband Dave; one sister, Edna Krauthamer; one brother, Carlton Singleton; grandchildren, Christopher (Kerri), Laura, Stephen (Janessa), Dustin, Abbie (Mikey ), Breanna, Austin (Moe), Brandon (Georgia); great-grandchildren, William, Ryan, Shawn, Paislee, Addy, Michael and Otto; as well as other extended family and friends.
