Edwina Bird Grant

Edwina Bird Grant, 93, of Columbus, GA passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 at River Towne Center in Columbus, GA.  A family graveside burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on July 15th, 2016 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave., Hartford, CT.  A memorial service will follow beginning at 11:00 A.M. at The First Congregational Church, 1171 Main Street, Coventry, CT with a reception following the service at 11:30 A.M.

Mrs. Grant was born December 14, 1922 in Hartford, CT to the parents of the late Charles Frederick Bird and Mildred Stone Bird.  She resided in Coventry, CT most of her life.  She was a homemaker.

Other than her parents, Mrs. Grant is predeceased by her loving husband, Donald Lamb Grant and her her son, Craig S. Grant; as well as her sisters and their spouses.

Survivors include a daughter, Candace Thibodeau and her partner of Farmington, CT; her son, Forster Grant and his wife of Columbus, GA; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
