Elizabeth "Betty Anne" Pollock

Elizabeth “Betty Anne” McCarthy Pollock, 73, of Valley, AL passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, January 4, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City, AL with Pastor David Hendrix officiating .  Interment will follow at Riverdale Cemetery in Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Betty Anne was born in Columbus, GA, August 5, 1942, daughter of the late Samuel McCarthy and Carolyn Dennard McCarthy.  She retired from the Georgia Department of Labor after 37 years of service.  Additionally, Betty Anne was a member of the Beulah United Methodist Church. 

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Ashley Pollock.

She is survived by children, Ashley Anne Pollock Barhoumi, husband Chaker and her grandson, Elias, all of Midland, GA, and Brad Pollock and wife Tiffany of Fayetteville, GA; Step-daughters, Karen Pollock McKeel and husband Chuck of Box Springs, GA and Sandra Pollock Marquez and husband Sam of Columbus, GA; siblings, Carolyn Griffin of Phenix City, AL, Gene McCarthy  and wife Peggy of Alpharetta, GA and Sam McCarthy of  Phenix City, AL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Nieces and nephews, Jackie Bailey, Susan Bailey, Meredith Margis, Matt McCarthy and Mallory McCarthy; many other family members, caring friends and beloved grand-dogs, Daisy, Gracie, Jake and Blu.
