Elizabeth Mcgee Jordan

Elizabeth McGee Jordan, 80, of Opelika, AL passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Arbor Springs in Opelika, AL.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am EDT, on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm EDT at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jordan was born October 30, 1936 in Tuscaloosa, AL daughter of the late Judge Robert McGee and Minnie Luck McGee.  She worked for many years at Swift Mills and retired from Russell Sewing Factory.  Mrs. Jordan was a member of the Broad St. Church of Christ and later a member of the Stafford Rd Church of Christ.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Rosie Jernigan; three brothers, Jim McGee, Jack McGee and Elijah McGee.

She is survived by her son Randy Brown and wife Janet of Opelika, AL; sister, Irene Burrows of Phenix City, AL; four grandchildren, Heath Brown and wife Amanda of Aiken, SC, Damon Brown and fiancé Tabitha of Ladonia, AL, Mark Murphy of Guyton, GA and Matt Murphy and wife Jennifer of Galesburg, MI; six great-grandchildren, Dylan, Isabella, Christian, Addi, Elijah and Mara.  She had many extended family members and caring friends.
