Ella Ruth Chevere

Ella Ruth Chevere, 80, formerly of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 in Winchester, VA.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gerald Corbin officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.at Vance Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Chevere was born January 9, 1938 to James Henry Melton and Hattie Nora Nowell Melton. Mrs. Chevere owned and operated Rainbow fabrics for many years. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by Husband Juan A. Chevere, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Rose Chevere and Dawn McCrumb of Winchester, VA and Bobbie Chevere Maddox of Smith Station, AL; 5 grandchildren, John Chandler and Caroline Latham, Preston Ryan and Natasha Chevere, Justin Shane Maddox, Kaitlyn Brenna and Paulino Borja and Kelsey Breann; 5 great-grandchildren, Suzanne Latham, Alejo Chevere, Amelia Chevere, Paige Borja and Antonio Chevere; several nieces, nephews and many cousins.
