Eloise Revels

Eloise Boutwell Revels, 87, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EST, on Monday, August 29, 2016, at Vance Memorial Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Her family will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Revels was born in Coffee County, AL on May 13, 1929, the daughter of the late Farris Hawkins Boutwell and Carrie Jane Lassiter Boutwell. She was a homemaker and a good and faithful wife to her husband of 61 years, Mr. Ray. Playing piano in church was something she loved and did for over 25 years, playing at Emmanuel Baptist, Cedar Hills Baptist, and Pine Grove Baptist where she was also a member.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Grady C. Boutwell and sister Velma Ferrel Boutwell.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ray Revels; daughter, Elaine Revels Miller and husband Douglas of Smith Station; sister, Mary Ann Boutwell of Phenix City; grandchildren, Christopher Ray Miller, Carrie Ann Miller, and Mark Douglas Miller and wife Rizzianne; great-grandchildren, Cody Ray Miller, Angel Marie Miller, and Benjamin Douglas Miller; many nephews, nieces, and other extended family members.
