Emma Jean Isabell

Emma Jean Simmons Isabell, 70, of Phenix City, AL passed away late Friday night, August 19, 2016 in Greenville, AL.

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Greg Cotter and Rev. Mark Barber officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Isabell was born June 30, 1946 in Pike County, AL to the late Mack George Simmons and Jeannie Davis Simmons.  She had worked 27 years for Phenix City Utilities and 10 years with Crane-Walters Realtors.  She was a member of Seale Road Baptist Church in Phenix City.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Donald Isabell and an infant son, Robert Donald Isabell.

She is survived by a sister, Martha Ann Barganier, three brothers, Mack Simmons and wife Alma, Horace Simmons and wife Ruth, and Mark “Sonny” Simmons, several nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and many caring friends.
