Eric Ray Lansdon

Eric Ray Lansdon, 65 of Smiths Station, AL, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at the Midtown Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am EST, on Monday, August 1, 2016, at Parkhill Cemetery with Dr. Ray Cummings officiating, according to Vance Memorial Chapel.  The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Lansdon was born November 9, 1950 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Willie Ray Lansdon and Louise Sharp Lansdon.  He retired with more than 20 years of service as director of the Smiths Water and Sewer Authority.  Additionally, Mr. Lansdon was a member of Golden Acres Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife Dianne Jordan Lansdon; a daughter, Amy Lansdon Overton of Smiths Station; a son-in-law, Richard Overton; a son, Jason Lansdon of Smiths Station; a brother, Steve Lansdon and wife Susan of Smiths Station; three grandchildren, Lani Lee Overton, Allison Lansdon and Jacob Lansdon, several other family members and caring friends.
