Ester “Karen” Scarbrough

Ester “Karen” Scarbrough, 61, of Warm Springs, GA. passed away October 16, 2014. A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, October 23, 2014 beginning at 2:00 P.M. EST at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home; 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. Reverend Eugene Wiseman and Reverend Heather Scarbrough will be officiating services. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home. Ester Scarbrough was born July 21, 1953 in Veckley County, WV, daughter to Samuel McDaniel and Yoko McDaniel. She is preceded in death by her father Samuel McDaniel. Survivors include, husband of 42 years James Scarbrough; mother, Yoko McDaniel; daughter, Amber Bryan (Steven) of Manchester, Ga; son, Kris Scarbrough (Heather) of Cataula, Ga; three sisters, Kay Klima of Columbus, GA, Kathy Hamlett (Ron) of Midland, GA, Kristine Filipczuk (Ed) of Columbus, GA; brothers, Karl McDaniel (Lisa) of Fortson, GA, Ken McDaniel (Sarah) of Ellenwood, GA; grandchildren, Kameron and Kolby Scarbrough, Cayli and Cody Bryan; Ester is also survived by several nieces and nephews, many other loving extended family and caring friends.
