Fletcher Bruce

Fletcher Bruce, 89, of Salem, AL passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 surrounded by his family at his home. Funeral services will be held 11:00am EST Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Vance Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at 1:00pm at Evergreen Cemetery and the family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 until 8 at Vance. Mr. Bruce was born December 1, 1925 in Ozark, AL to the late Coy Bennett Bruce and Corrine Bruce. He loved the outdoors, hunting fishing, gardening and building. Fletcher loved his family and lived for them. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Alisa Collins and his siblings, William Bruce, Virgil Bruce and Lula Mae Heite. He is survived by his daughters, Angela and Al Walker, Allison and David Mize, Wanda and Nathan Crace, Miranda and David Newsome and Marlene and Joseph Culver; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous other loving family members and many caring friends.
