Florence Elizabeth Hampton

Florence Elizabeth Hampton, 83, of Phenix City, AL passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA.

A funeral service will be held 12:30 pm EST, on Friday April 21, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Don McCormick officiating.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Friday from 10:30 to 12:30 pm, two hours prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hampton was born March 11, 1934 in Phenix City, AL, daughter of the late Earnest Wade and Sarah Carpenter Wade.  She was a long time member of Courts of Praise Worship Center in Phenix City, AL.  Mrs. Hampton volunteered for Hospice and she enjoyed cooking and sharing God’s word with people on the street.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Randolph Hampton a; a daughter, Doris Falk and thirteen other siblings.

She is survived by one daughter, Linnie “Lynn” Havard and husband Ralph of Lanett, AL; grandchildren, Debra, Sandra, Lisa and Jamie; great-grandchildren, Pricilla, Kristin, Sarah, Steven, Caleb, Bethany, Shelbee and Jake;  four, great-great-grandchild, Christopher, Mia, Addison and Kailee.
