Florence Naomi Young

Florence Naomi Young, 80 of Columbus, Georgia passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House. A memorial service will be held Monday, March 28, 2016 beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST with the Pastor Gary Tankersley and Pastor Jeff Parmer at Harvest Pointe Church of the Nazarene, 7777 Whitesville Road, Columbus, Georgia 31904.

Florence Naomi Young was born May 23, 1935 to the late Lewis and Helen Onstadt-Moyer in Sterling, Colorado. Florence was a long time member of Harvest Pointe Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed reading, playing the piano, and spending time with her family. Other than her parents, Florence is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Donald Eugene Young.

Survivors left behind to cherish her memory; two daughters Cheryl Gunn and husband Rick of Columbus, Georgia; her other daughter Chelle Tabor and husband Phil of Radcliff, Kentucky; son Rodger Young of Columbus, Georgia; four grandchildren:  Rickey Gunn, Lindsay Frost, Ashleigh McCarty, Chelsea Tabor; great-grandchildren:  Kaleigh Gunn, Kyler Gunn, Amelia McCarty, Henry McCarty, Gabe Tabor, Cayden Frost, and Carter Frost.

Florence was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be forever missed.
