Frances Pauline Osborne

Frances Pauline Osborne, 77, of Columbus, GA, passed away September 8, 2014 at St. Frances Hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 12, 2014 beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST. at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907. Interment will conclude at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Pastor John Sheely will be officiating services. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home. Frances Pauline Osborne was born October 4, 1936 in Talbot County Georgia, daughter of the late Oscar James Howard and Jewell Lockhart Howard. Frances was a Baptist by faith and a member of Geneva Baptist Church. She enjoyed her duties as hostess for seniors at Nicholas Terrace. She loved playing bingo and most of all Frances loved her favorite pooch “Sadie”. Other than her parents , Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Damon R, Osborne; sisters, Louise Eunice Daniel, Florie Mae Pilcher; brothers, Eugene Elgin Howard, and James Lewis Howard. Survivors include her son, Steven McCrane (Dawn Hetland) of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Margaret Montgomery of Conyers, GA, Mary Sue Amoresano, of Paterson, NJ; brothers, William David Howard (Donna) of Plant City, FL, Bobby Ray Howard (Betty) of McDonough, GA; Frances is also survived by her beloved niece Helen Wiggins of Box Springs, GA; many other extended family members and caring friends.
