Frank Eugene Griggs

Frank Eugene Griggs, 75, of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, August 16, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital, Columbus, GA, surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Epworth United Methodist Church with Rev. Grant Parker officiating, according to Vance Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 18, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Vance Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Griggs was born October 12, 1939, son of the late Raymond Griggs and Carrie Hibler Griggs. He retired from banking after 40 years and had recently had worked with American Club System.  Mr. Griggs was a dedicated member of Epworth United Methodist Church of Phenix City, AL his entire life.

Other than his parents he is preceded in death by siblings, Mary Ellen Davis, Judy Davis, Susie Harper, Jean Jones and Keith Griggs.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Funderburke Griggs of Phenix City, AL; a son, Scott Griggs and wife Laurea of Newman, GA; two daughters,  Amy Griggs Head and husband David of Salem, AL and   Kathy Funderburke of  Smiths Station, AL;  and two grandchildren Jacob and Jared Head; many extended family members, church family and caring friends.
