Frank Wilkins Carroll was born in Hurtsboro, Alabama, February 1, 1932 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 28, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother Lillie Wilkins Carroll and father, A.B. Carroll, Sr., and his daughter, Julie Carroll Crouch. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gloria Shiver Carroll; his son, David Frank Carroll (Becky), and four grandchildren; Patrick Carroll (Ali), Mary Margaret Carroll Bishop (Brandt), Blake Crouch, and Luke Crouch and 2 great grandchildren; Luca Carroll and Weston Bishop.
Frank attended Auburn University where he was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity where he graduated in 1954. Upon graduation, he entered into the U.S. Army.
Frank was a loving husband, father and a devoted member of Hurtsboro United Methodist Church. Frank was a true southern gentleman. He was kind to everyone he met and loved loving on people. He enjoyed riding horses and dancing, but mostly he loved being with family especially his grandchildren. Papa Frank you will be forever missed.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 10:30AM – 11AM (CST) at Hurtsboro United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will follow the visitation, with Dr. Keith Turner officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. A committal will follow in Hurtsboro Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, Blake Crouch, Luke Crouch, Patrick Carroll, Brandt Bishop, Jake Martin, David Lauder, Chip Torbert and Tony Torbert.
