Franklin Junior Toddy

Franklin Junior Toddy, 79, of Phenix City, AL passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Thursday, February 2, 2023 beginning at 12:00 PM with Pastor Buddy Lamb officiating. The interment will conclude at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mr. Toddy was born on April 22, 1943 in Waldenburg, AR to the late George W. Toddy and Geneva Johnson Toddy. He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran proudly serving our country. Mr. Toddy had retired from General Motors in Flint, MI as a Supervisor after 33 ½ years of dedicated work. He loved anything “Cowboy” and Johnny Cash. Mr. Toddy was always putting others before himself, and he never refused to help anyone who needed assistance. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apple of his eye and he let everyone know that too. His giving ways, loving heart and dedication to God, Country and Family continue to impact us and future generations for good.

Other than his parents, Mr. Toddy is preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children Lovey Montain Toddy, his second wife Myrtle Patton Toddy, sisters Josie Mae Vaughn and Joyce Faye Pangelinan, brothers Freddie Willbanks and Dale Davis Toddy, and a grandson, Ryne Toddy.

Mr. Toddy is survived by his five children, Frank “Jay” Toddy (Debbie), Sherry Embach, Barbara Arnold (James “Jim”), Pamela Gilman and Courtney McClure (Keith); twelve grandchildren, Cassie Richardson (Erik), Corie Barnes (Andrew), Torrie Rhinebolt, Brittany Owens (Jonathan), Emily Winfree (Daniel), Jimmy Arnold (Maegan), Shannon Collins (Hayden), Tyler Arnold, Olivia McClure, Jacob McClure, Sabrina McClure and Elliana McClure; thirteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
