Freddie Eugene Odom

Freddie Eugene Odom, 87, of Columbus, GA passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 at his residence. Memorial services will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 beginning at 3:00 PM.

Freddie was born on May 24, 1934 in Columbus, GA to the late Benjamin Lee Odom and Carrie Wynn Odom. He retired as a manager at Bibb Mill and served in the Army National Guard. Freddie enjoyed karaoke, dancing and metal detecting and was a skilled small engine mechanic.

Survivors include his daughter Julie McDonald and son-in-law Scott McDonald of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; son William Odom of Columbus, GA; grandchildren Devina Marie Boswell Braun, Cameron Wayne Boswell, Kaitlin Marie Odom, Haley Odom, stepgranddaughter Ginnifer Shavers, Danny Owens, Danny Angelo Odom, Jr., Danny Angelo Odom, III; and stepgranddaughter Maria Odom. Other than his parents, Freddie is preceded in death by his wife Nadine Daisy Odom, sons Danny Angelo Odom and Tommy Odom, and grandson Tommy Odom, Jr.
