Frederick “Wayne” Robinson, 83, of Phenix City, AL passed away Wednesday, June 08, 2016 in the comfort of his home while surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am EDT Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Dexter James officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening (Friday) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.
Mr. Robinson was born June 5, 1933 in Columbus, GA to the late Harry “Truman” Robinson and Annie Laurie Hearn Robinson. He was retired from Bellsouth with 39 years of service. He was a former member of the Phenix City Civitan Club. He enjoyed the outdoors, yard activities, and wood crafting, building all types of bird houses, and working in his flower garden. He was a United States Air force Veteran, and a member of Central Baptist Church in Phenix City. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn Jean White Robinson, a sister, Zoe Shepard, and a brother, Paul Dokos.
He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Robinson of Phenix City, AL, son, Ronald Robinson and wife Peggy of Newnan, GA, sister, Virginia Hall and husband John of Phenix City, AL, two grandchildren, Andrew Robinson, and Hannah Robinson, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and many caring friends.
