Linda Gail Allums Batchelor, 75, of Phenix City, AL died at her residence on Sunday, January 7, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.
Ms. Batchelor was born December 21, 1948 in Sheffied, AL daughter of the late Edward Ray Allums and Della Strickland Allums. She was a homemaker and attended Crawford Baptist Church. Ms. Gail also played the Banjo Euke with the Crawford Pickers and was an excellent crocheter. She loved her family and put them first at all times. We will miss her, but every time we touch an afghan she crocheted we will smile.
Ms. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Della Allums; a sister, Mary Ann Allums Smith, father of her children and dear friend, Emitt Batchelor.
Survivors include one son, Lamar Batchelor (Angela Lee), Phenix City, AL; six daughters, Christine Batchelor (Chris Hundley) Phenix City, AL, Emily Ingram (Rob), Griffin, GA, Lisa Free (John), and Laura Cooley, all of Phenix City, AL, Debora Faist (Patrick), Ball Ground, GA, Laurah Casper (Johua), Box Springs, GA; partner, Raymond Allen, Phenix City, AL; nineteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; several other family members and friends.
