Gary L. Lisle

September 2, 1956 — April 28, 2017

Gary L. Lisle, born September 2, 1956, of Phenix City passed away peacefully Friday, April 28th surrounded by his love ones.  Gary was a graduate of Glenwood School and Auburn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Building Science.  He was involved in the Columbus and Phenix City construction industry throughout his career, primarily as owner of The Lisle Company. 

Gary’s passion in life was golf.  A sometimes scratch golfer, Gary was a member of Green Island Country Club, and Willow Point Country Club, Alexander City.  He leaves a close community of golfing friends across multiple states.

Gary is proceeded by his father, Billy W. Lisle, maternal grandparents, Robert and Virgil Lee Plott, and paternal grandparents, Vernon and Corrine Lisle.  He is survived by loving mother, Faye Lisle, brothers Tim (Donna), of Philadelphia, PA, and Terry (Sabra), of Orlando, FL, nieces and nephews, Gene Lisle (Shea), and Beth Leatherwood (Brett) of Phenix City, Eleanor Tattar (Trent) and Anna Lisle of Philadelphia, PA, and Stacey Lisle of Somerset, PA. 

The family would like to extend gratitude to the medical staff at St. Francis MSICU that were so dedicated to the care and comfort of Gary and family in this time of need.

A visitation will be held at Summerville Baptist Church beginning at 1:00 PM Monday, May 1st, with services to follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Robert Goodman officiating.  A private grave side service for family will be held afterwards. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be made to The First Tee of East Lake 2606 Alston Drive Atlanta, GA 3031 or Summerville Baptist 3500 Summerville Rd.
