George Clayton Page, 72, of Seale, AL passed away Monday evening, April 13, 2015 at the Bethany House in Auburn, AL. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am EDT Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Ronnie Chaney and Rev. Emory Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at the funeral home. Mr. Page was born March 2, 1943 in Phenix City, AL to the late Eugene Stratford Page and Melba Lucille Franklin Page. He was retired from Rutledge State Prison and was the owner/operator of Sportsman Taxidermy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and family time. He was a member of White Rock Assembly of God Church in Phenix City. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Page and a granddaughter, Melanie Barr. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Barbara Jean Hudson Page of Seale, AL, one daughter, Wanda Newman and husband Terry of Seale, AL, one son, Gordon Frank Page and wife Sharon of Cusseta, GA, one sister, Lougene Brown and husband Jerry of Phenix City, AL, two brothers, Earl Page and wife Sandra of Opelika, AL, and Andy Page and wife Andrea of Cataula, GA. (5) Grandchildren, Paige Denny (Derek), B J Newman, Chanda Mullican (Michael), Clayton Page, and Stratt Page, (7) great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and many caring friends.
