Mr. George Lewis Lenoir, Jr., 73, of Phenix City, AL died at his residence Wednesday, February 26, 2020.
A service of Remembrance will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2020 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM till the 6:00 PM at the funeral home. A private interment with military honors will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery at a later date.
Mr. Lenoir was born January 23, 1947 in Ft. Benning, GA son of the late George Lewis Lenoir, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Smith Lenoir. He was a U. S. Army veteran and worked at TSYS for many years in management. Mr. Lenoir loved NASCAR, dirt track racing and restoring antique cars. He was an avid reader and restaurant connoisseur, visiting any new restaurant to test its fare. Mr. Lenoir also enjoyed the Columbus Cotton Mouths when they were here. He may no longer be in our daily routine, but his wisdom and memories will forever be in our hearts.
Mr. Lenoir was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Debra Kay Grizzle Lenoir and a sister, Kay Smith.
Survivors include his son, Matthew Lenoir (Melica), Phenix City, AL; two precious grandchildren, Coraleigh and Hailee Sowell; numerous other family and friends also survive.
