Gerald “Jerry” Lynn Railsback, 67, of Cottonton, AL passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am EDT Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Cottonton, AL with Pastor Steve Vann officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.

Jerry was born March 30, 1950 in Orlando, FL to the late Donald H. Railsback and Nina Grey “Happy” McLendon. He proudly served his country in the US Army until his medical retirement. He was a member of The Paralyzed Veterans of America, The Cottonton Volunteer Fire Department, Pilots Organization of America and the VFW. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed following politics. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Donna Railsback.

He is survived by his loving wife Sarah Ann Jordan Railsback; daughter, Michelle Klockars and husband Robert; brother, Donald Harris “Butch” Railsback II and wife Brenda; grandchild, Taylor Shutts; numerous extended family members and many dear friends.
