Gerald Devon Kiker, 78, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Kiker was born February 25, 1939 in Marengo County, AL, son of the late Leo Kiker and Arleen Green Kiker. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the 8th Army Honor Guard, stationed in Korea.
Mr. Kiker was the elected Clerk of the Circuit Court in Russell County. He retired in 2001 after serving more than 41 years in that office. He was also a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Patrick Kiker.
Mr. Kiker is survived by his loving wife, Carol Wood Kiker; five sons, Ronald Paul Kiker, Michael Devon Kiker, Kenneth Ramon Kiker and wife Susan; Andrew William Kiker and wife Lori, and Gregory John Kiker and wife Laurie; grandchildren, Shannon Kiker, Drew Kiker, Julie Kiker Johnson, Kasey Kiker, Caleb Kiker, Zack Kiker, Logan Kiker, Jared Kiker, Cole Kiker, and Kalli Kiker; ten great-grandchildren; church family and caring friends.
