Geraldine D. Blake

Geraldine D. Blake, 88, of Phenix City, AL passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at her daughter’s house in Ft. Mitchell, AL.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm EST, on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home.

Mrs. Blake was born October 15, 1928 in Metuchen, NJ daughter of the late Kenneth Gibbs and Margaret Manziano Gibbs.  She worked as an insurance agent for Lincoln National Life Insurance Company.  After retirement, she worked at the Ladonia Flea Market as a secondhand distributor.  Mrs. Blake was also a member of the American Business Woman’s Association.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Lynn Harris; a sister, Nan Parcinski and a brother, Roy Gibbs.

She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Kite of Ft. Mitchell, AL, Jean Robey and husband Patrick of Tampa, FL and Robin Lewis and husband Paul of Montgomery, AL; one brother, Phil Gibbs and wife Joan of NJ; eight grandchildren, Ronnie, Dawn, Reggie, Patricia, Megan, Lauren, Savanah and Rachel; eight great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren and many other extended family and friends.
