Gisela Agnes Reynolds

Gisela Agnes Markert Reynolds, 86, of Phenix City, AL passed away at Piedmont Regional Hospital, Columbus, GA Friday, March 20, 2020 with her family by her side.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Ft. Benning, Main Post Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Ward officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.

Gisela Reynolds was born April 19, 1933 in Fulda, Germany. She was the daughter of the late Johann Markert and Anna Franziska Laitsch. Gisela will be remembered for a host of memories and talents, including an ability to read people, “make a dollar”, maintain a near photographic memory and simply enjoy life. We will miss her but will cherish the memories she has given us.

Mrs. Reynolds was also preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Jessie R. Reynolds, Sr.

Gisela is survived by her two children, Shirley Garrett (Levi) and Jessie R. Reynolds, Jr. (Tracy); four grandchildren, Justin Garrett, Jacob Garrett (Alyssa), Hunter Andersen (Catherine) and William Andersen; one great-grandson, Jackson Garrett; several nieces, nephews and close friends.
