Grover Ernest Meszaros, 77, of Phenix City, AL passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA. A celebration of life memorial service will be held 3:00 pm EDT Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Pastor Dawn Richards officiating. A private interment will take place with Meszaros family at a later date. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Grover was born September 2, 1943 in Monroe County, MI to the late John Meszaros and Ruth Berry Meszaros. He was the owner of Grover’s Place in Phenix City. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, was an avid basketball fan, and loved fellowship with people and spending quality time with his grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Bayer. He is survived by his children, John Meszaros, Sherry Meszaros, Cindy Hendrixson, Michael Meszaros, Kim Martin, and Jason Meszaros; siblings, Berneda McCord, Deloris LaPointe, John Meszaros, Robert Meszaros, Willetta Meszaros, Gene Meszaros, and Patsy Prince; grandchildren, Dane Hendrixson, Amanda Meszaros, Michael Meszaros, Michael Martin, Amanda Martin, and Jade Seal, great grandchildren, Dayvontae Martin, Dwayne Cherry, Caven Ryker McNabb, and Silas Seal, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
