Harry Lloyd Cannon

Harry Lloyd Cannon, 88, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.

A private memorial service will be held by his family at Restlawn Park Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.

Mr. Cannon was born August 28, 1927 in Mena, AR to the late Harry Gilbo Cannon and Myrtle Fagan Cannon Bock.  He served our country and was Veteran of the United States Marines Corps.  He enjoyed gardening, farming, and raising all sort of farm animals, and he was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints Pro Football Team.  Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Borrel Cannon, a son, Craig Cannon, sister, Glenna Johnson, and a brother, Troy Cannon.

He is survived by his children, Deborah Owens of Smiths Station, AL, Lucy Hensley and husband Bobby of Smiths Station, AL, and Harry Cannon and wife Lisa of New Orleans, LA, (8), grandchildren, (14) great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.  Online condolences may be made at www.vancememorialchapel.net
