Hattie Ellen Perry Deas, 90, of Phenix City, AL, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am EDT on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.
Mrs. Deas was born January 31, 1927 in Phenix City, AL to the late Jesse Perry and Hattie Mae Wallace Modling. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother whom was dearly devoted to her family. She was lovingly known as Mama Hattie. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, working in her flower garden, and spending time with her beloved pet dogs. She was a member of Russell Woods Congregational Church in Phenix City. She loved Jesus with her whole heart.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Deas, and a brother, Jesse Perry.
She is survived by her children, Ellen Thompson of Smiths Station, AL, Esther Lawrence and husband Wayne of Seale, AL, David Deas and wife Tammy of Phenix City, AL, and Doug Deas of Phenix City, AL; (8) grandchildren, Robbie Thompson (Jennifer), Laura Shafer (Nathan), Brad Gibson, Brent Gibson, Ashton Lawrence, Jessica Deas, David Deas, and Elizabeth Deas, (3) great grandchildren, Elle Thompson, Kayleigh Foster, and Emily Foster, several extended family loved ones, and numerous friends.
