Helen Barbee Waller

Helen Barbee Waller, 92, of Phenix City, died September 22, 2018 in the presence of her family.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City, Alabama with burial following in Lakeview Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be held prior to the funeral at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Waller was born March 1, 1926 in Phenix City, Alabama to the late James I. Barbee and Josephine Norris Barbee. She was a member of Calvary Tabernacle Assembly of God.  She and her husband traveled as evangelists in Georgia, Alabama and Florida.  They pastored churches in Phenix City, Newton, Slocomb, and Troy, all in Alabama.  She was the church pianist and was active in all of the church activities.  Additionally, she was the Manager of Katz Home Fashions, from 1965-1982.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Dan D. Waller; and three brothers, Manuel I. Barbee, Cecil C. Barbee, and Calvin L. Treadway.

Survivors include a son, Daniel James Waller, a daughter, Donna Waller Johnson, three grandchildren: Shannon Tomlin (Mark), Barbee Jackson Alderson (Zach), and Danny James Waller and six great grandchildren.
