Helen Thompson B. Pearce

Helen Boswell Thompson Pearce, 94, of Crawford, AL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at River Place Retirement Home in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am EST Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Steve Williamson officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pearce was born December 19, 1922 in Phenix City, AL, daughter of John M. Boswell and Winnie Lee Burkes Boswell.  She was retired from Rose Hill Baptist Church in Columbus and was a longtime faithful member of Crawford Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy L. Thompson, Jr. and Marion Pearce; sister, Marguerite Ogletree, an infant sister, Barbara Ann, and six brothers, Floyd Boswell, Billy Boswell, Fletcher Boswell, Carlyle Boswell, Edmond Boswell, and Jimmy Boswell.

She is survived by one son, Roy “Keith” Thompson and wife Debbie of Crawford, AL; two grandchildren, Nathan Thompson, Rebecca Thompson Moyer and husband Tony, and two precious great grandchildren, Andrew and Addison Moyer, and a host of nieces and nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
