Henrietta James

Mrs. Henrietta David James, 81, of Seale, AL, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017, at her daughter’s residence in Salem, AL.

Graveside Services for Mrs. James will be held 11:00 AM EST on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Rev. Bud Passmore officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 EST at the funeral home.

Mrs. James was born September 29, 1936 in South Fort Smith, AR daughter of the late William Henry David, Sr. and Pearl Cates Roach.  She worked for many years at AHP Medical Glove Factory and later at Snow White Cleaners.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. James is preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie F. James; one sister, Della Mae Snipes and one brother, Harvey Lee David.

Mrs. James is survived by a son, John G. Powell, Jr. and wife Kathy; a daughter, Sondra Harper of Salem, AL; two brothers, William Henry David, Jr. of Barling, AR and Jack Darrell David of Greenwood, AR; grandchildren, Kimberly Ghoja (Alex), Katie Powell, Jonathan Powell (Amanda), Sara Ramsey (Lance), Ryan Powell, DeeDee Perriera (Vic), Kay Niehoff (Lonny) and Kim Gilley; twelve great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren; several extended family members.
