Henry “Hank” Eddie Crawford

Henry “Hank” Eddie Crawford, 73 of Phenix City, AL passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.

Mr. Crawford was born November 14, 1940 in Bonneau, SC to the late Rudolph Crawford and Dora Barnette DuPree.  He was retired from United of America Insurance Company with 25 years of service and also was retired from the United States Army with 20 years of service to our country. He was a member of VFW, American Legion, and 32nd Mason with the Masonic Lodge and was a member of Ladonia Baptist Church.  He enjoyed traveling, watching Auburn football and the Atlanta Braves and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Barfield Crawford and a daughter, Lori Lynn Crawford.

He is survived by (3) daughters, Vicki Smith and husband Pete of Phenix City, AL, Valerie L. Hickey and husband Don of Middletown, OH and Lisa Ann Martin and husband Rick of Hamilton, OH; sisters, Teresa Litchfield and Pam White, brothers, Michael Crawford and Edward Crawford and step-mother, Loris Crawford of Bonneau, SC.

Grandchildren, Jonathon Crawford Smith, Spenser Hickey, Donald Anthony Hickey, II and Christina Crawford and fiancé’ Tyler Bowlin, great grandchildren, Peyton and Mason Bowlin, numerous other family members and friends.

Funeral services with full Military Honors will be held 1:00 pm EDT Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.  Interment will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery and the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm EDT Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home.

The Crawford will gather for friends and fellowship at the Ladonia Volunteer Fire Department after the service on Wednesday.
