Henry P. Walker Jr.

Henry P. Walker, Jr., 61, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 in Nashville, TN. A graveside service will be held at Green Acres Cemetery, 1485 Schatulga Rd, Columbus, GA on Saturday, March 20, 2021 beginning at 12:15 PM with Dr. Elliott C. Glasgow officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM. In keeping with efforts to control the spread of COVID-19, social distancing guidelines will be observed and facemasks will be required.

Henry was born and raised in Columbus, GA. He was baptized into Christ at the South Street Church of Christ and later attended Forrest Road Church of Christ. Henry attended Forrest Road Elementary School and Arnold Middle School. After graduating from Hardaway High School in 1978, he attended Tuskegee University where he majored in Business Administration. Henry was an entrepreneur and published author.

Henry is preceded in death by his father, Evangelist Henry P. Walker, Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Mildred Walker; two daughters, Amanda Walker and Victoria Walker; one son, Henry P. Walker, III; ex-wife, Renee; three sisters, Brenda Walker Pruitt, Delores Walker and Angela Walker Newsome (Ibn); and one brother, Darren Walker (April). A host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and friends also mourn his passing.
