Hilda Dumas

Hilda Gotz Dumas, 80, of Salem, AL passed away peacefully March 26, 2017 at the Columbus Hospice in Columbus, GA.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm,  Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Parkhill Cemetery.

Mrs. Dumas was born February 13, 1937 in Frankfurt, Germany daughter of the late Johann Adam Gotz and Hemine Gotz.  She worked at for many years as a seamstress for Parisians.  Mrs. Dumas attended Pine Grove Church in Cusseta, GA, where she enjoyed helping with the Manna House food bank.  She loved working in her yard and her family members that still lived in Germany.

She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Johnson and Andy of Four Oaks, NC; three sons, David Dumas and wife Cindy of Opelika, AL, Dennis Dumas and Rose of Columbus, GA and Donald Dumas and wife Valerie of West Point, GA; one siser, Claudia Worsdorfer and husband Horst of Germany; two grandchildren, Hope Johnson and Hollie Brockman and husband Chris; two great-grandchildren Kaelee Jo Johnson and Kaydee Ann Johnson and numerous other family members.
