Mr. Hillert Fred Hieronimus

Mr. Hillert Fred Hieronimus, 86, of Ft. Mitchell, AL passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Piedmont Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am EST Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.  There will be no formal visitation.

Mr. Hieronimus was born June 24, 1935 in Pecatonica, IL, son of the late Hillert Hieronimus and Myrtle Elizabeth DeBaufer Hieronimus. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  After his service in the Navy, he worked as computer programmer in the manufacturing industry until he retired.  Mr. Hieronimus enjoyed playing the guitar, gospel music and painting.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Hieronimus.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane Ivey Hieronimus of Ft. Mitchell, AL; a daughter, Angela McWaters and husband Joseph of Ft. Mitchell, AL; a son, John H. Brink, Jr. of Ft. Mitchell, AL; a brother, Donald Hieronimus of Pecatonica, IL; a grandson, Joshua Crews; several extended family and friends.
