Houston L. Stephens, Jr., 74, of Salem, AL died at Jack Houston Hospital, Phenix City, AL on Sunday, January 10, 2021.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM (EST) on Friday, January 15, 2021 in Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus, GA with Rev. Eddie Francis officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends from 5:00 till 7:00 PM on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Stephens was born October 27, 1946 in Montgomery, AL son of the late Houston L. Stephens, Sr. and Ila Cobb Stephens. He served our county proudly for 20 years in the U. S. Army retiring as SFC. SFC (Ret) Stephens served in the Viet Nam war where he received several commendations and awards. He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 144 and the founder of the local Combat Vet Motorcycle Association # 28-1. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Myong O. Yi Stephens, Salem, AL; three children, Jennifer Linden (Bret), Che-na M. Stephenson (Aaron) and Trever M. Linden (Hazel); three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Linden Zabaeren (Justin), Faith Linden and Rebecca Linden Hall (Garrett); several other family members and friends also survive.
