Hubert Lee Macon

Hubert Lee Macon, 62, of Hamilton, Georgia passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at his home. A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. EST at Northside Church of Christ 835 Double Churches Rd. 31904 with Minister Jerry Noblin Officiating. Hubert Lee Macon “Lee” was born May 17, 1952, in Pell City, Alabama to the late Dewey Travis Macon and Brunice Bates Macon. Hubert proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a Professional Over the Road Truck Driver and was employed by Marten Transport. He was a devoted Christian and faithfully served the Lord. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and repairing things in his shop. He will be forever remembered as a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed. Other than his parents Hubert is preceded in death by his sister Billie Anne and numerous aunts and uncles. Survivors include his loving wife of forty years Maxine Elizabeth Macon, daughter Christi Hill and husband Randy of Plant City, Florida, three sons James Lee Macon and Audrey of Hamilton, Georgia, Joey Macon and Angela Weierick of Columbus, Georgia, Jeffrey Macon and wife Amanda of Columbus, Georgia, five grandchildren Brooke, Regan, Natalee, Trenten and Bailee Macon. Sisters; Mae, Roberta, Sandra, Rita, Vicki, Lisa and Sherri. Brothers; Travis and Jerry.
