Hubert M. Davis

Hubert M. Davis, 82, of Phenix City, Alabama, went to be with his Lord on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Phenix City Health Care.

A Celebration of Life Service will held on Monday, November 2, 2020, at 11:00 am EST, at Summerville Baptist Church, with Rev. Robb Goodman officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5-7:00PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Davis was born in Pike County, Alabama, the son of the late Marion Grady Davis and Ophid Mitchell Flowers Davis. After high school, Mr. Davis faithfully served his country as an Infantryman, in the United States Army. Mr. Davis was a member of Summerville Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for many years. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Davis was the owner of Cross Country Plaza Barbershop where he not only enjoyed cutting his customers hair but he enjoyed the friendships that he made in the bi-city area. Mr. Davis enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working in his yard and taking trips with long-time friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his daughter Terra Davis; son Clinton Davis and ten brothers and sisters.

Mr. Davis is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Alma B. Davis; one daughter Wanda Mobley and her husband Mike of Phenix City, AL; two granddaughters Michelle Mobley and Rachel Mobley and her fiance’ Chase Boleware; and a very special niece Ann Hutchinson who continually assisted with his caregiving. Many caring friends and church family.

A very special Thank you to Sherry Ginn and ALL of the employees at Phenix City Healthcare for the love and attention you provided Mr. Davis and his family for the past 2 1/2 years.
