Hugh V. Livingston, Sr., 86, of Phenix City passed away late Monday evening in the comfort of his home in Phenix City. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm EDT Friday, July 24, 2015 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at the funeral home. Mr. Livingston was born June 4, 1929 in Columbus, GA to the late James V. Livingston and Glennie Martin Livingston. He was retired from General Motors with 28 years of service and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed any type of outdoor activity and had a passion for fishing, and in his past was a professional guide down in Mexico. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Soledad “Ginger” Vazquez Livingston, and two sisters, Bessie Wright and Helen Hesley. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Parmer and husband Dale, his son, Hugh V, Livingston, Jr., both of Phenix City, AL, sister, Peggy Operman and husband Steve of Orlando, FL; (4) grandchildren, Becky Livingston, Snap Livingston, Brook Parmer, and Hunter Livingston, and one grandchild, Kayden Diesel Livingston, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
