Hulene Sheila Tomlin May, 59 of Columbus, GA passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am EDT Monday, September 22, 2014 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Pastor Ronnie Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 pm EDT at the funeral home. Hulene was born July 29, 1955 in Columbus, GA to the late Huey Tomlin and Pauline Prim Tomlin. She was employed with Columbus Financial Consultants and was a Baptist by faith. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was deeply devoted to her family. She enjoyed family gatherings, beach trips with friends, scrapbooking, gardening, making new friends, and being “Mimi” to her granddaughters. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 26 years, James Barry May of Columbus, GA; her children, Brian Walsh and wife Candice of Phenix City, AL, Amy Elliott and husband Josh of Columbus, GA, Christopher May and wife Taylor of Phenix City, AL, and Brandon May of Phenix City, AL. Two precious grandchildren, Riley Walsh and Ava Elliott, mother-in-law, Lureen Osborn, cousins, Debbie Wells (Donald) and Mickey Prim (Sarah), Aunt Ellen Gunter, numerous other loving family members and many caring friends.
