Irene Dudley Satcher

Irene Dudley Satcher, 87, of Kennesaw, GA, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm est Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gary Stripling officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, two hours prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Satcher was born January 5, 1929 in Haleyville, AL, daughter of the late Henry Harrison Dudley and Mattie Mae Logan Dudley.  She worked for many years as a receptionist with Dr. W. B. Mims.  Additionally, Mrs. Satcher was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jack E. Satcher of Kennesaw, GA; one daughter, Catherine Satcher Parker and husband Jeff of Actworth, GA; one son, David T. Satcher and wife Glorya of Canton, GA; three grandchildren, Dustin Billings and husband Eric, Christina Satcher and Shelby Parker; three great-grandchildren, Jackson T. Satcher, Camden Billings and Olivia Billings, many other loving family members and caring friends.
