Jack Gray

Mr. Jack Gray, 79, of Columbus, GA passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA, according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Columbus, GA.  The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 3:00 until 5:00 pm, at the funeral home in Columbus, GA.

Mr. Gray was born April 6, 1944 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Estes Gray and Sadie Louise Spires Gray.  He worked as a supervisor for Bowen Construction for over 25 years.  Mr. Gray proudly served his country in the Army National Guard.  He enjoyed gardening and building, even on his days off.  Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Joyce Gray and Sandra Gray; a sister, Carroll Kaissane and a brother, Euell Gray.

Mr. Gray is survived by three sons, Duane Gray and wife Claire of Columbus, GA, Bobby Gray and wife Janie of Phenix City, AL and Johnny Lamar Sanders, II and wife Mary Lee of Leitchfield, KY; a daughter, Cassandra Gray of Blairsville, GA; a brother, Joel Lee Gray of Bleeker, AL; a daughter-in-law, Mimi Gray of Radcliff, KY; common law wife, Dottie Peck of Columbus; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
