James Harold Martin

James Harold Martin, 70, of Phenix City, AL passed away Saturday evening, November 25, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

Graveside services will be held 12:00 noon EST Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Lakeview Memory Gardens in Phenix City with J D Jackson officiating.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon EST at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.

Mr. Martin was born June 26, 1947 in Columbus, GA to the late Bill Martin and Bernell Gray McCarty.  He was retired and work for Harvey Lumber Company, Tom’s Foods, and served with several other companies in Columbus, GA.  He enjoyed listening to music, dirt track racing and NASCAR, and sitting under his favorite tree at home and observing the many things and nature that surrounded him.  Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Juanita Lyons Martin, one sister, Janet Martin, and a brother, Jimmy Ray Martin.

He is survived by his daughter, Tina Marie Wyatt of Phenix City, AL, and a son, Danny Wayne Martin; (4) grandchildren, Tammy Martin, Rhonda Sampson (Brandon), Angel Marie Reeves, and Ricky Wyatt (Rachel), (4) great grandchildren, Amber, Trey. Brandon, and Skylar, numerous extended family members, and many caring friends.
