James “Jim” Claude Grogan, III, 70, of Ft. Mitchell, AL died at Piedmont Regional Hospital, Columbus, GA on Saturday, March 21, 2020 surrounded by family.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Grogan was born October 20, 1949 in Columbus, GA, son of the late JC Grogan and Alice Lawrence Grogan. He had retired from Dolly Madison and Mead as an Electrical Engineer.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Marial Kay Grogan.
Survivors include his son, Jay Grogan (Denise), Ft. Mitchell, AL; two sisters, Jean Powell (Jerry) and Judy Grogan; special granddaughter, Katelin Grogan, Ft. Mitchell, AL; numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends also survive.
He will be remembered as a free and easy family man, who loved baseball, music, nature, sci-fi, tinkering, and a home-cooked meal!
