SSGT (Retired) James “Jim” Earl Gregware, 63, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services with full Military Honors will be held 3:00 pm EST Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City. A private interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Jim was born January 1, 1953 in Malone, NY to the late Earl Gregware and Vivian Pole Gregware. He was employed with Country Inn Suites in Columbus, GA for over 16 years. He served our country proudly and was retired from the United States Army with 20 years of service. Jim enjoyed fishing, camping, the outdoors, gardening, woodworking, and loved tinkering with many different types of projects.
He is survived by his lovely bride of almost 44 years, Mickey Patricia Harwood Gregware of Columbus, GA, one daughter, Sabrina Cook of Hoschton, GA, son, Toby Gregware and wife Brandy of Smiths Station, AL, one sister, Judy Moffett of Malone, NY, (3) brothers, Carl Gregware and wife ____ of West Virginia, Bruce Gregware and wife Bessie of Maysville, NC, and Barry Gregware and wife Georgia of Williamstown, NC, and mother-in-law, Wilma Harwood of Malone, NY (5) grandchildren, Ashley Cook, Skyler Cook, Hailee Cook, Kolbie Gregware, and Kash Gregware, several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
