James L. “Jimbo” White

James L. “Jimbo” White, 65, of Phenix City, AL died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

A Private Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.

Mr. White was born January 16, 1958 at Martin Army Hospital, Ft. Benning, GA. He was the son of the late H. Cecil White and Geraldine Dankesreiter. Jimbo was a carpenter by trade but an avid hunter and fisherman by choice. He loved time spent in the woods or on the water either alone or with family and friends. This allowed him to enjoy living a simple and quiet life. We will hear him as the wind rustles through the leaves or remember his smile when we land a nice fish.

Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil White and Geraldine Dankesreiter and two siblings, Brenda Thornton and Kayleen White.

Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer McLendon (Jeff), Columbus, GA; one brother, Ricky White, Phenix City, AL; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Adam, Andrew, Luke, Jacob, Eli and Ella-Grace Lowery; several other family members and friends.
